Southwest Minnesota State University
Prepping for the Mardi Gras Gala and
the Mustang Homecoming Tailgate Festivities
October 7- 9, 2009
Well the gang is all here!!
We
had to cook a Throwdown Jambalaya for the Homecoming Tailgating Festivities and as usual I try to do
that as a concentrate form and in advance. AND, boy am I glad I did!! It
was
snowing before the game. I would have been cooking jambalaya from scratch in the
snow!! YIKES!!
Anyway, we got the students out of the kitchen to take the
above shot. COOL!
Before I arrived, they purchased two of the Throwdown Jambalaya 10 gallon pots, I needed these because I was going to cook for the Mustang Mardi Gras Tailgating Party on Saturday! Sooooo, they got 'em and already had the bumper stickers on them to make it official SMSU Mustang Tailgate Approved!
Well,
guess what???!!! Even if I am in the frozen tundra of SMSU the smell of Jambalaya cooking brings out everyone!!
Dr. Danahar brought out administrative and office staff
to come out to see what's cooking.
YEP, Everybody wants to say they helped cook the Jambalaya!
But it is back inside to prep the Turkey and Andouille Gumbo!
Thanks to Jim Tate and Michael Cheng of SMSU for taking and supplying many of the above pics!!
