Mustang Homecoming Parade
Saturday,
October 10, 2009
I
snuck out of the Gala, and got to my car, there was
a small layer of snow, how quaint!! I had to drive back to the hotel in a
snow storm, No Problem! I have driven in snow before. YEA,
RITE, frozen tundra snow is different, it doesn't go away overnight!!
I
get out to my car and it is covered in snow!! YIKES! However, I was
told to be ready for a 9:30am pick up because David Danahar had invited me to
participate in the Homecoming Parade. NOW, that is WAY COOL!
I think they had a private meeting and decided that it would be best if I didn't drive!!!
SO, they enlisted this nice little Vette and it's owner Jerry to chauffer me in the parade!!
Thanks again to David and Cecelia Danahar for such a great honor to participate in the parade!!! It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip!
David got me a box of Mardi Gras beads and we were off!!
I got Jerry into the spirit of Mardi Gras, we threw beads out of both sides!!!
At the end of the parade I asked David if we could go back to the start and do it again.
No sense of humor!!
OK, now back to work, I have to serve several dishes in 4 hours!!
And YES, in the SNOW!!
NOW everyone's attentions turn to Football!,
Well First ya gotta have a Tailgate Party!
Thanks to Jim Tate and Michael Cheng of SMSU for taking and supplying many of the above pics!!
