The
Special Event was held in the newly opened Blaine Kern's Mardi Gras World (East
Bank). We have catered several events in this FANTASTIC facility.
The event featured a beautiful Butterfly Drop and a "Second Line of Characters" that was held in the River City Ballroom.
This was way COOL!
The
Degas Room
"Famed artist Edgar Degas lived in New Orleans in the 1800s on the Esplanade ridge, where he painted some of his masterpieces.
"Enter the world of Edgar Degas and walk back in time into the Parlor of his historic home (his only residence in the United States). Though the courtesy of David Villarrubia, owner of the Degas House, were antique furnishings from the parlor...."
My long time friend Chris Kline (Far Right) trombone player with Bonerama rocked the house! You can check them out at their website.
The
food
was
themed around "Festivals de la Louisiane" and was represented by over 30 of New
Orleans finest restaurants, caterers, foods and spirit providers. We
thought that we would represent the
Louisiana Tailgate and BBQ Festival since we were very fortunate in winning
the three of the most prestigious contests at the festival. Actually it
gave me the gaudy opportunity to show off my three trophies!
