New Orleans Jazz Celebration (NOJC)  initiated by the Louisiana Music Commission in 1993 and incorporated as the New Orleans Jazz Centennial Celebration, Inc., in 1994. Our mission is to preserve, promote, and perpetuate jazz, America's original art form, through educational outreach to audiences of all ages. NOJC's outreach focuses on youth and adults and offers a wide array of informative and entertaining activities designed to spread the rich history of jazz and move the art form forward.

Chef Ricky LoRusso and Coconut Curried ChickenNOJC seeks to enhance the understanding and appreciation of jazz and other related roots music by offering a wide array of informative and entertaining programs in the New Orleans region and throughout Louisiana. Our programs are designed to spread the history of jazz to audiences who otherwise might not be exposed, while showcasing and providing opportunities to the region's jazz artists to earn a living wage, as well as providing opportunities for collaboration with international artists. We especially strive to expose underserved youth in Louisiana to jazz history, both to develop the appreciation of and the inspiration to continue cultivating one of Louisiana's most valuable and profound gifts to the world.

EDUCATIONAL INFORMANCES are performances given by respected New Orleans musical ensembles experienced in performing for children. Related activities such as study materials, second line arts workshops and touring exhibits are also offered to engage any audience with the rich cultural legacy of Louisiana music.Treme Brass Band
