My great friend, Becky Winchell (left) is a brain aneurysm survivor. And as the "Go to Girl" that she is, she decided to give back to the North Shore a tennis tourney to promote the awareness of brain aneurysms. Her story is well documented in the Youtube video and Facebook page.

I got to help by cooking and hanging out, sipping a little champagne with the tourney contestants, Damn tough gig!

For breakfast and the signing in, I grilled up some Grilled Jerk Salmon Filets. This is a pretty easy recipe because you let the leek tops do all the grilling. It really is important NOT to lift the lid while cooking. They were a big hit, because I cooked 6 filets and by 10am they were all gone! OK, I think the real reason why they went fast is because Becky had arranged for the bartenders to ply contestants with Bloody Mary's!

Northshore Regional Medical Center donated the fresh fruit and power bars which really rounded off our morning buffet.

I always have wanted a Public Address (PA) system. It just sooooo happens that I had purchased one for our 31st annual Pig Fest the Friday before!!! Becky asked me on Sunday, if I knew of anyone that owned one!! Boy was that fortuitous!!

We kept the luncheon buffet within the same Latin theme, by providing a "Make ya own Taco Bar". Complete with Chipotle Pulled Pork, Spicy Beef Tacos, Grilled Flour Tortillas, Mango Salsa, Pico de Gallo, Chips and Guacamole.

Combining the Silent Auction, Tourney Fees and Donations, Becky raised over $14k, not to shabby for her first time! WOW, You Go Girl!

And YES, there was a tennis tourney, I have not a clue on who won! But it was fun watching the girls!!
