WOW, What a GREAT venue!

In the '60s and '70s my dad used to work next door at 1215 Prytania St, when he worked as an engineer for Southern Bell and Bell South Louisiana..... In fact, when I was in college, I worked there during several of my summer breaks.. but.... I never even noticed this building. I understand that back then it was and artist community that was using the building and grounds. BUT, now it has been completely renovated and restored. The site hosts many weddings, cocktail parties, conventions.....
OK, Back to the party!!
I have been working on several recipes using Silver Spring (TM) mustards and horseradishes... So, this gave me the perfect opportunity to use their Dill Mustard for my wet batter. I have also been using the Chipotle Mustard for my Remoulade Sauce, for this night I substituted their Peppadew Mustard. I also used their Extra Hot Horseradish (HEY, it was a local crowd!) and Wasabi Mustard.

I wanted to take some pics of the people and food station... BUT, I got busy frying up all of the seafood...
Look at the size of that shrimp... it was a "Shrimpasaurs"
Ms. Gautreaux sent me this email after the event...."I just wanted to thank you and tell you how delicious your food was – everyone at the party was raving about how fresh and good the fried food was. I will not hesitate to recommend you to my clients."...... NOW, that is WAY cooooool!
