This was the year Mr. Kris Shaw (of Volunteer Services) thought that we should go back to our original brunch menu!!!
One lady told me that breakfast was her favorite meal.... AND that is all she eats now!!
She loved it!
Our Menu,
Honeyed Fresh Fruit Salad with Blackberries, Pineapples, Blueberries and Strawberries
Creamy Cheesy Grits
Cajun (Pork) Grillards
Scrambled Eggs
Fresh Breakfast Sausage
Honey Cured Bacon
Biscuits and Butter
Mocha Ice Cream Punch
This event is looked forward to each year!!! I can tell because people start arriving at 10am for an 11 o'clock serving!!
This year, Mr. Brian Landry was there and gave a very thankful speech to the volunteers.
Also, Ms Mary Ann Joffray, her daughter Gabby, and Ms Nancy Willis presented service awards. BUT I think the most appreciated portion of the event was the door prizes!!
Vouchers to the gift shop!!
OR maybe it was that we still had the creamy cheesy grits!!! YEA, that is what I am going with!
