This recipe is not a traditional Middle Eastern recipe, Well DUH!
I LOVE pita breads!! And I LOVE Za'atar seasonings!! This is a dried seasoning pack that I get from my local Arab market. It is a combined seasoning mix with mostly dried roasted thyme, sesame seeds and oregano. AND!!! it is only $3.00 for an entire pound!!
The feta cheese will not melt like a mozzarella, it seems to brown and hold it's shape.
Middle Eastern food is fantastic!!! (gifs courtesy of Linda Sawaya and Saudi Aramco World)
