Our Menu for the night was:

Crawfish Nets

Smoked Alligator Sausage with Grilled Onions and Peppers

New Potatoes Stuffed with Tasso, Crawfish and Cheese

Zucchini Pirogues

Smoked Boudin

Mardi Gras Salad with Muffaletta Olive Salad

Turkey and Andouille Sausage Gumbo

Blackened Filet Mignon with Remoulade Sauce

Pan Fried Soft Shelled Crawfish

C-Asian Marinated Asparagus Bundles

Strawberries Romanoff with Mint Syrup and Chocolate Shavings

Pat O'Briens Hurricanes, Cafe' Brulee

Blaine Kern (Mr. Mardi Gras) could not have decorated The R/A Facility better! Cecelia Danahar and her staff did a FANTASTIC job!! Purple, Green and Gold RULED!! Each table was a Mardi Gras Krewe with a placard describing the origins and peculiarities of that krewe!!! From Bacchus to Barkus, Choctaw to Carrollton! All were covered! The pic at right does not do the room justice, but I wanted to show how dynamic and colorful the room was!

Even the bar was furbished with a 1991 Ely Mardi Gras poster. You can see it in the background of the picture at left. I talked to Dr. Danahar about it, he said that Cecelia had taken it out of his bedroom to use it as decoration. Well, Guess What, David!! this is a pic of my 1990 (right), which hangs in my bedroom! Both were framed with the same matte colors, cut outs and frame, by the renowned Mr. Joachim Casell of Casell Gallery on Royal St. Now is that toooooo, cooool! Cecelia truly wanted the event to be REAL New Orleans.

Guests are arriving and it is time to serve some food!
